Art and Object: A Semiotic Approach

Objects In the contemporary era: objects have not merely the practical function; they can be permutated and make d different meanings by taking the advantage of the artistic possibilities. Accordingly, the human relationship with object is not predetermined and is formed in various socio-cultural interactions and situations. This mutual interaction Human and objects can influence each other. Such interaction brings us into a discursive game in which time and place are essential elements; sometimes movement due to density slows down and freezes time; here, social institutions enter the world of human-object communication to solve the social problem of object efficiency in a given place.

Jean Baudrillard identifies two types of object: Symbolic object, which is formed in the measurements and size of the human body; and Modem object, which has independent energy and is self-sufficient. Thus, the object is always a possibility and a gate to Possible Worlds. Any object doesn"t end in itself and it is always striving Interaction with time and place, from the past to the future and from near too far; Carpet-object on one hand, connects us with the distant past and cultural accretion. On the other hand it is a heritage for future generations in various economic, artistic and anthropological aspects.

Based on these possibilities, the object creates, narrates and moves within multiple discursive spaces. However, the common point of all objects, whether historical, cultural-artistic or practical, is their artistic aspect. To characterize the objects, the features such as design, color, shape, material, size, simplicity or complexity, the production of culture point of view ,cultural and identity levels, variety, flexibility and stability are paramount. Overall, objects produce different types of lifestyles, and their artistic dimensions and lead to Dynamism and Transcendence .

Now the question is, why any object subordinates to the Artistic Process? What are the dimensions and conditions of human-object interaction? How and under what circumstances the cultural function of object has metamorphosed over time? Why and how have objects affected the meaning of human life? How and under what conditions do objects lead to social stratification? How do collective and individual identities metamorphose under the influence of object and develop to procreation or stagnation? How new meanings are created in social interactions by human object through re-intensifying the relations of human and object in the context of art?
