According to the public relations of the Academy of Arts, the Ambassador of the Republic of Tunisia, Samir Al-Manser, met with Bahman Namvar Motlagh, the President of the Academy of Arts, on Tuesday, February 3, 2010. The meeting stressed the need to expand artistic cooperation between nations.
In this meeting, Bahman Namvar Motlagh stated: Art exchange is the most important and rooted field of connection, understanding, and interaction between countries. The head of the Academy of Arts also offered suggestions for cooperation in the field of art aesthetics, especially Islamic art, translation of works of art of the two countries, and holding art exhibitions of artists of the two nations.
The Ambassador of the Republic of Tunisia, Samir Al-Manser, also thanked the Academy for its invitation, citing the two countries' deep-rooted cultural history and cultural cooperation and joint artistic programs, and invited the Academy of Arts to promote handicrafts and carpets in Tunisia.
After the meeting, Samir Al-Manser visited the Museum of Selected Works of the Permanent and Immortal Members of the Academy of Arts.
