Artistic Section of “Shams-e Tabrizi” Congress Kicks Off with IIA’s Members
 

Shams-e Tabrizi Congress kicked off November 6 in Urmiyeh with 350 Shams, Rumi, and Hafez scholars from Iran and abroad in attendance and will go on in Khoy a city in west Azerbaijan. In this event more than 70 scholarly articles are presented on different aspects of Shams-e Tabrizi’s life, personality, and thought, public relations department of the IIA reported. Master Hossein Hosseinnejad scientific secretary of the congress remarked that the event run for a week and comprises three religious, literary, and artistic sections. Attempts have been made to invite distinguished artist and scholars to add to the wealth of the program, Gholamhossein Amirkhani, Hassan Bolkhari, Iraj Na’eimai, and Mohammad Mehdi Harat are but few to name. Besides, other prominent scholars like Javad Bakhtiari, Kaveh Teymuri, Hamid Ghassemzadeh Jahromi, Davud Rashidi, and Atash Taghipur deliver speeches in the scientific section. Essin Chalapi, a grandchild of Rumi, and Naji Bakerji head of Rumi museum also have speeches to deliver. Plaque of Turkey’s Rumi Foundation is going to be bestowed to maestro Shahram Nazeri, Hosseinnejad said. Live performance of Alim Ghasemov from Azerbaijan is the closing program of the gongress, Hosseinnejad added.
