A ceremony honoring the memory of Master Mahmoud Farshchian, the unparalleled Iranian miniaturist and permanent member of the Academy of Arts, will be held on Monday, October 27, 2025, at the Academy of Arts.
According to the Public Relations of the Academy of Arts, as part of its series of research seminars on Iranian art and in collaboration with the Research Institute of Islamic Culture and Art of the Howzeh Honari, the Academy will hold this commemoration for Master Mahmoud Farshchian.
The ceremony will feature speeches by Majid Shah-Hosseini, President of the Academy of Arts, Mohammad Ali Rajabi, Hassan Shahrestani, Abdol-Majid Kiani, and Abbas Behzadi.
Concurrently, for the first time, an exhibition of the Master"s preliminary sketches for the design of the shrine of Imam Hussain (AS) and other Ahl al-Bayt (AS) will be displayed. These sketches are from the workshops for constructing the shrines of Hazrat Masumeh (SA) and Hazrat Abdol-Azim Hassani (AS).
The tribute ceremony for Master Mahmoud Farshchian will be held at 15:00 on Monday, October 27, 2025, in the Golestan Hall of the Academy of Arts, located at 1552 Valiasr Street, below the intersection with Taleghani Street. The event is open to the public.
