On the occasion of commemorating Sheikh Bahai and the Architect Day, a specialized session titled "Celebration of the Architect Day" was held on April 3, 1404 (Iranian calendar), at the Golstan-e Honar Hall and also virtually. During the session, Professor Abdulhamid Naghhekhar, a full member of the Academy of Arts, discussed the "Relationship between Islamic Wisdom and the Creation of Artistic and Architectural Works," emphasizing that Islamic wisdom involves evaluating artistic and architectural works from the perspective of Islamic values. He also stressed the necessity of achieving a new Islamic civilization with Iranian-Islamic identity and divided architecture into two categories: building engineering and architectural art. He highlighted that architects must be familiar with both empirical sciences and humanities in these domains.

Mohammad Saleh Shekouhi, a faculty member at Iran University of Science and Technology, also spoke at the session about the role of urban planning and architecture in civilizational development. He noted that architectural and urban planning education in Iran has been heavily influenced by Western models, particularly the Bauhaus school in Germany and the Beaux-Arts in Paris. He emphasized the importance of developing local concepts and Islamic approaches to construction, warning that adopting imported models leads to imitation, emulation of Western societies, and shifts in lifestyle. The session concluded with a Q&A segment with the audience and was presented as a step toward strengthening the role of architecture in Islamic civilizational development.
