Seyyed Morteza Nojomi, a mujtahid and one of the best calligraphers in the Islamic world, was born in 1928 in Kermanshah.

As a child, he was interested in painting and calligraphy and learned the basics of calligraphy with Mohammad Reza Iqbal.

In 1943, he entered the seminary of Kermanshah to study religious sciences, and in 1949, he went to Najaf Ashraf to study in the final courses of the level of treatises, achievements, and adequacy. Shahroudi, Haj Mirza Hassan Bojnourdi, and other elders benefited and received permission for ijtihad from Ayatollah Agha Mirza Mohammad Baqir Zanjani and Grand Ayatollah Hakim.

Arriving in Najaf Ashraf for Seyyed Morteza Nojomi was accompanied by the flourishing of his artistic talent. Seeing the pieces of the third, and the verses and narrations that were written in an artistic way and the third line, he became so fascinated with the art of calligraphy that if he had the opportunity, he would study this art as much as he could; Receive a master's degree in calligraphy from the late Mirza Ahmad Masoumi Zanjani.

After returning to Iran in 1970, Seyyed Morteza Nojomi began to collect exquisite books, and since he had also learned the art of bookbinding from Mr. Mirza Ebrahim Motabed, he began to bind and calligraphy these books, and as a result of all his efforts, a library of 7,000 volumes of books It is exquisite and rare that he has imitated and drawn more than a thousand volumes.

At the same time, he was so popular among the elders that Allameh Sheikh Aghabzorg Tehrani mentioned his name among the great Shiites in his book "Classes of Shiite Proclamation".

Seyyed Morteza Nojoomi has left some works of his own in the world of art, among which we can mention the "spiritual dimension of calligraphy".
